Experimental Study of GFRP-Reinforced Geopolymer Concrete Columns under Different Loading Conditions

This study discusses the behavior of ambient-cured circular geopolymer concrete specimens tested under different loading conditions. Twelve were cast and to investigate influence type reinforcement, that is, steel glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP), pitch transverse conditions (concentric axial load, 15 35 mm eccentric four-point bending). The load carrying capacity, confinement efficiency, deformability decreased for replacement reinforcement with same amount GFRP concentric loads. However, reinforced (RC) specimen was higher than its counterpart bending. Overall, reduction in helices GFRP-RC resulted a significant improvement deformability, postpeak behavior, load–bending moment capacity Moreover, theoretical equations based on pressure provide accurate predictions load-carrying columns bars helices.
